Bożena Czerny

Bozena Czerny works at the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw as a professor and is not yet retired. She will think about resting next year, when she turns 75. She is currently still engaged in carrying out the prestigious ERC Synergy grant, which she leads together with colleagues from Poland, France, and Chile. The project is devoted to determining distances in astronomy. For this purpose, Bozena uses active galaxies. Interesting results concerning the Hubble constant have already been obtained. In her free time, Bozena enjoys her garden, where many flowers require her constant care.
