Alain Blanchard

Alain was born in Dakar, a city which he did not have the chance to know, as his parents left it when he was less than two years old. He grew up in many different places before completing his studies in Paris. He then worked as a lecturer and researcher in Paris, before becoming a professor at the Strasbourg Observatory. He currently teaches at the University of Toulouse. A lover of mathematics and passionate about astronomy since childhood, he has been fortunate enough to turn his passion into his profession. His research focuses on cosmology, which he also enjoys sharing with the general public. Travel, hiking and good food are among the pleasures he enjoys sharing with his family and friends.
