Laurent is an astrophysicist at the Paris Observatory. He is an instrumentalist, observer, and modeler. He is interested in astrochemistry, interstellar dust, and star-forming regions like Orion and Rho Ophiuchi. He participates in balloon-borne experiments and has collaborations in Europe, the USA, Taiwan, and China. Passionate about chamber music, he plays the violin and viola, listens to Beethoven quartets but also music from the Andes, Ireland, pop and metal, Brassens and the "Goguettes en trio mais à quatre ». He enjoys cooking and reading comics and science fiction.
